Ethiopia: America’s Model for Democracy and Liberty?

with one comment

Remember how the US contracted Ethiopia to “restore order” in Somalia? The East African dictatorship was to help install a UN-backed government of warlords ….. But the point isn’t to mock yet again the utter, utter failure of US foreign policy with regard to Somalia, but to note that Ethiopia — DC’s go-to for regional freedom delivery — is run by terrible people … In the US, meanwhile, ….. One could wonder if Ethiopia might be the model for the US government lately  …. READ MORE

Obama is the First Black Fascist President

leave a comment »

”It was easy to think of Bush, Cheney, Powell and Rice as fascist evil doers. They plotted and carried out acts of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and Haiti and established a system of military detention in Guantanamo and sites around the world. The Patriot Act was founded on their watch and with it the erosion of all our constitutionally based civil liberties. While those criticisms were on target, I now admit to being somewhat mistaken in the final assessment …. the decisions made by Barack Obama and the rest of American political leadership” is Fascist. Who is Qatar?

leave a comment »

Qatar has been making quite a name for itself of late. It was one of the only Arab countries to provide air support in Libya, its customs officials — seemingly unprovoked — recently attacked a Russian ambassador, it cajoled the Arab League into voting for sanctions against Syria, and it plays host to Al Jazeera which has increasingly looked more and more like a mouthpiece for … the West. Although, Qatar would appear to … be one with Napoleonic delusions of grandeur. READ MORE!!!

Eritrea: Prophetic Warning

with 2 comments

It is evident that in the psyche of some Eritrea needs permission from the West to succeed or forgiveness to move on. There may be some truth in that the psyche of the colonized and oppressed to want to remake itself in the image of its masters, or to need acceptance from its masters or former masters. A phenomenon that is sometimes associated with what is commonly described as “colonial mentality”. However, what the Eritrean experience exemplifies is the kicking off of such mentality and the development of confidence in ones own resource and ingenuity. In short the Eritrean is what Kwame Nkrumah at the dawn of decolonization described as the “New African”. The New Eritrean, who has deep roots in and is the result of his/her independence struggle, is strong, confident, conscientious and patriotic. This New Eritrean does not live for or look for acceptance from the “rulers of the universe”.  READ MORE

Crackdown in Ethiopia for fear of an Arab Spring-style uprising (AFP)

leave a comment »

The AFP report exposed a systemic and intensifying crackdown in Ethiopia – the top recipients of foreign aid in Africa, also provides bases for US surveillance drones, and where food prices have jumped 63 percent from last year, according to the World Bank. “The sheer numbers of arrests and prosecutions this year indicate a systematic crackdown, a systematic dismantling of the last few independent voices.” The report goes on to state there  ”are not enough improvements to stave off popular discontent”. The report highlighted “the surge in arrests is driven by a fear of an Arab Spring-style social uprising.” READ MORE

Eritrea: Demand To Speak Reveals Corruption of UNSC and UN Charter

with one comment

With every passing day it is becoming more apparent that the United Nations and more exactly the United Nations Security Counsel has been reduced to an American foreign policy apparatuses or is usurped “by the American authorities”. At most inopportune times the founding Charter, The Charter of The United Nations, is deliberately ignored and relegated to an ineffectual instrument as opposed to being the sacrosanct document that laid down the rules for international cooperation, international law and engagement. Eritrea’s case at the UN has made this corruption of the UN abundantly clear. …. Nobody is conferring on the President of Eritrea the right to address the Security Council, the Charter does. Interview with President Isaias Afwerki – New African Magazine – November 2011

with 2 comments

New African Magazine, November 2011 is featuring an interview with President Isaias Afwerki.   It is a must read.

“Once dubbed the “hope of Africa” by a Western newspaper,Eritreahas since been lambasted as a rogue state led by an authoritarian regime, paranoid about its larger neighbour,Ethiopia, with whom it fought a ruinous border war. A key ally of theUSonce upon a time, relationships soured in the early 2000s, as they did with the AU, the UN, other nations, and international organisations. Human rights groups often rankEritreaas one of the worst performers. But, though it has gone unreported,Eritreais a country that may meet most of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. It has achieved considerable success in health and education, based on principles of self-reliance and social justice. As pictures of the recent famine in the Horn of Africa are broadcast across the world,Eritreais missing from the narrative because in a short space of time it has made strides in developing a strong agricultural sector and a resilient economy. And it has done all this without donor aid or outside help. New African spoke to the Eritrean president, Isaias Afwerki, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly Meeting inNew York.”   READ MORE !!!!

The Only Foundation of Civilisation

leave a comment »

Unless Africa can conquer hunger, it will have conquered nothing at all. The first and most important condition for a life worth living is freedom from hunger. This is the foundation, the only foundation, on which all other social structures can be constructed. Otherwise the little pockets of achievement here and there will be swallowed up as surely as rocks thrown on quicksand.  READ MORE!!!!

Eritrea Marked For Regime Change

Africa, under President Obama, is an expanding theater of war for the United States. There are few points on the African map where the U.S. military does not operate, independently, through proxies, or by agreement with local governments and militaries. Neo-Andinet and Dr. Bereket Habte Selassie

with 23 comments

Have we forgotten what we went through in the name of Andnet?  We were robbed of our Country. We were robbed of our language. We nearly lost our cultures and it appears some have totally lost their minds too, as it is obvious by Dr. Bereket Habte Selassies behaviour. Be careful of a creeping Neo Andinet sponsored by Woyane and their stooges.
